- You are looking for Chinese spouse.
- If you want to learn about Chinese language and culture, including the thousands of years old civilization.
In particular, if you want to travel solo in Chinese countryside or small cities, you’ll need to learn Chinese. It’s just next to impossible to travel solo in the Chinese countryside without knowing Chinese.
We Chinese people appreciate foreigners who have an interest in Chinese language and culture.

I do think Chinese for business and romantic opportunities is sensible, however there is an amazing amount of literature and other culture too which is largely unknown in English, unfortunately.
